How YanBo Practice Portal uses cookies

YanBo Practice Portal may use cookies and similar technologies to:

3. Essential cookies

Essential cookies and storage are needed for YanBo Practice Portal to work properly. These may support login, security, account access, subscription access and remembering cookie choices.

Supabase supports authentication and session persistence. Cloudflare Turnstile is used on authentication-related pages for fraud and bot protection.

Essential cookies cannot be switched off through our cookie settings because the portal needs them to provide the service.

4. Analytics cookies

Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors and members use the portal. For example, they may show which pages are visited, which features are popular and where users may need a better experience.

Analytics technologies are optional and will only be used if consent is given. Vercel Web Analytics is used when Analytics is enabled in Cookie Settings. It measures aggregated traffic and usage information such as visits, page views, routes, referrers and broad device or geographic information. This information is used to understand and improve YanBo; it is not used for advertising or to create individual marketing profiles. Vercel Web Analytics does not use analytics cookies. You can change or withdraw this choice at any time through Cookie Settings.

5. Marketing cookies

Marketing cookies and pixels may be used in the future to measure advertising performance, understand which campaigns lead to sign-ups and support relevant promotion of YanBo Practice Portal.

Marketing cookies are optional and will only be used if consent is given. No advertising or marketing platform is currently installed, so this choice does not currently activate a third-party marketing service.

6. Preferences and functionality storage

YanBo may use browser storage to remember settings selected by the user, such as timer, voice or other portal preferences, so those settings do not need to be selected again each time.

This storage is used to provide or remember requested portal functionality. Where optional preference technologies require consent, they will only be used if consent is given.

7. Browser storage used by the portal

Cookies are not the only browser-storage technology used by the portal. Local storage is used for cookie choices, timer and voice settings, and review preferences. Session storage is used for temporary custom-test configuration and generated-test state.

Browser-storage entries may remain until they expire, are replaced by the application, or are cleared in the browser.

8. Current third-party services

Supabase supports authentication and session persistence, Vercel hosts and delivers the website, and Cloudflare Turnstile provides security checks on authentication-related pages. Resend supports transactional and support-related email delivery but does not set an analytics or marketing category through these cookie controls.

9. Children and privacy

YanBo Practice Portal is designed for 11+ preparation and may be used by children with support from a parent, guardian, carer or teacher.

We aim to keep cookie and privacy information clear and understandable. We also aim to avoid unnecessary tracking and to use optional analytics or marketing technologies only where appropriate consent has been given.
